Built for real rooms
A paint estimate needs wall area, not just floor area. A flooring order needs whole boxes, not just exact square footage. Our tools keep those details visible so you can understand what to buy and why.
Start with your measurements and update the sample prices with a retailer’s current quote. These are planning estimates, not contractor bids.
BEFORE YOU STARTFrequently asked questions
Are these calculators designed for US projects?
Yes. Enter dimensions in feet, coverage in square feet, paint quantities in US gallons and prices in US dollars. Use the coverage on the product you will buy.
How do I enter feet and inches?
Divide the inches by 12 and add that to the feet. Enter 12 feet 6 inches as 12.5 feet. Measure openings separately for your paint estimate.
Are the prices local to my city?
No. The prices are editable examples, not local market averages. Enter a current supplier price and an installer quote for your location. Tax, delivery and preparation are not included.
Why do I need more flooring than my room area?
The calculator adds your waste allowance for cuts and rounds the order up to full boxes. Material cost uses the actual box coverage purchased; labor uses the room area.
Can I print or save my estimate?
Yes. Each calculator has a text download and a Print / Save PDF button. Calculations stay in your browser and do not require an account.
